LOCAL PLAYWRIGHT SERIES PRESENTS B+: MORE THAN A BLOOD TYPE

2/21/2019

Picture
Pumphouse Players are pleased to announce the third staged reading in the Local Playwright Series, a new campy horror-comedy by Pumphouse member Ian Gibson! B+ (Be Positive): More Than a Blood Type takes the classic vampire tale and twists it into something entirely different in this new play.

On Saturday, April 13, 2019, at 8:00pm, a cast of local actors under the direction of Joshua Lee Robinson (A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play; Beer for Breakfast) will perform the script in a staged reading. The cast includes Caitlyn Keller, Matt Thompson, Ann-Marie Thomas, Ben Norman, Parker Patzke, and Joshua Gossett.

The reading will be followed
by an optional talkback and Q&A led by Karen Ruetz, where audience members are invited and welcomed to share their thoughts about the show.

B+: More Than a Blood Type asks the question: w
hat happens when life gives you lemons, or worse, turns you into a blood-chugging vampire? Due to VERY grave miscommunication, that's exactly the grim dilemma that sweet Georgia peach Caitlyn is facing, but she's determined to keep on the sunny side... even if she can't actually step out into the sun. With only the help of her reluctant master, her human best friend, and a few corpses, will she be able to find new life in death?

This play includes suggestive situations, mild language, and blood. Lots and lots of blood. We recommend parents use caution before bringing young children to hear this new play.

General admission tickets are just $5.00 online or at the door (cash or card).
While there's not a bad seat in the house, we recommend arriving early to snag your favorite one. Doors will open for seating at 7:30pm.
